Premiere operation reference

Generated from the current declarations. Do not edit this file by hand.

Types, limits and defaults below describe resolved values. Runtime expressions must produce these types. Unknown options are rejected; defaults apply only when omitted. Constructor options must be constant after document composition.

sequenceContract#

Checks, without changing anything, that the sequence currently open in Adobe Premiere Pro contains exactly the declared clips: same project path, sequence name, frame size, frame rate, source files and in/out frames, in order. A person runs the supplied read-only UXP panel inside Premiere; the result is a JSON sequenceObservation. Choose it to confirm that a hand-edited Premiere timeline still matches an intended cut; it does not edit, render or export.

Common mistakes and assumptions:

  • Experimental: no run against an installed Premiere has been recorded; treat results as unqualified.
  • The panel reads the sequence twice and compares the readings, but this is not a locked snapshot; keep Premiere idle during inspection.
  • Only structure is checked; source contents, effects, colour, audio and rendered pixels are not.
  • Each run needs a person to pick the job folder in the panel; workflow scheduling and automatic reuse are not available.

Native binding: Premiere read-only UXP sequence observation. Output kind: ["sequenceObservation"].

Inputs: none.

Option Meaning Type / constraints Default
projectPath Absolute path of the saved project that is open in Premiere, exactly as Premiere reports it (a Windows drive path or a macOS path). Schemaxis compares the text only and never reads the project file. {"type":"string","minLength":1,"maxLength":4096} required
sequenceName Exact name of the active sequence to inspect; no sequence is selected or modified. {"type":"string","minLength":1,"maxLength":256} required
fps Expected sequence frame rate as an integer: 24, 25, 30, 50 or 60 frames per second. It sets the frame length used to convert startFrame and frameCount into Premiere time ticks. {"type":"integer","minimum":24,"maximum":60} 25
width Expected sequence frame width in pixels, 2 to 8192, compared with the sequence settings; rendered output is not inspected. {"type":"integer","minimum":2,"maximum":8192} 1920
height Expected sequence frame height in pixels, 2 to 8192, compared with the sequence settings; rendered output is not inspected. {"type":"integer","minimum":2,"maximum":8192} 1080
clips Ordered list of 1 to 128 clips expected back-to-back from the start of the sequence on its only unmuted video track, with no gaps. The total length of all clips must not exceed 600 frames. {"type":"array","minItems":1,"maxItems":128,"items":{"type":"object","properties":{"sourcePath":{"type":"string","minLength":1,"maxLength":4096,"required":true},"startFrame":{"type":"integer","minimum":0,"maximum":1000000,"default":0},"frameCount":{"type":"integer","minimum":1,"maximum":600,"required":true}}}} required

sequenceLayout#

Inspect a complete named multitrack timeline without editing it. Declare every video track, source and timeline interval, and optional coverage requirements such as at least one active track through a programme or two overlapping tracks during an insert. The UXP panel reads the active sequence twice; the host publishes its observation and an independently rebuilt layout report with occupied frames, gaps and requirement decisions.

Common mistakes and assumptions:

  • Native Premiere execution remains unqualified; Linux cannot run the panel.
  • Coverage measures editorial intervals, not rendered visibility: effects, opacity, masks, internal time remapping and source contents are not inspected.
  • All tracks must be unmuted and clips enabled, with empty audio tracks and no captions/transitions.
  • Intervals use integer sequence frames and exclusive ends; fractional/drop-frame rates are unsupported.

Native binding: Premiere read-only UXP complete named video track observation. Output kind: ["sequenceObservation","sequenceLayout"].

Inputs: none.

endFrame Exclusive sequence end in zero-based sequence frames, from 1 to 600. Required for sequenceLayout and must equal the latest clip end across all tracks. No trailing empty padding is accepted. {"type":"integer","minimum":1,"maximum":600} required
tracks Complete ordered list of 1 to 8 video tracks, starting with native index zero. Include empty tracks. Names must be unique; undeclared extra native tracks or a different order fail. Every track must be unmuted; this is not a selected-track subset. {"type":"array","minItems":1,"maxItems":8,"items":{"type":"object","properties":{"name":{"type":"string","minLength":1,"maxLength":256,"required":true},"clips":{"type":"array","minItems":0,"maxItems":128,"required":true,"items":{"type":"object","properties":{"sourcePath":{"type":"string","minLength":1,"maxLength":4096,"required":true},"startFrame":{"type":"integer","minimum":0,"maximum":1000000,"default":0},"frameCount":{"type":"integer","minimum":1,"maximum":600,"required":true},"timelineFrame":{"type":"integer","minimum":0,"maximum":599,"required":true}}}}}}} required
requirements Up to 32 named editorial coverage decisions. Each selects declared tracks and a half-open sequence range; every frame must have at least minimumActiveTracks selected tracks occupied by a clip. Omission or an empty list reports gaps without adding a coverage gate. {"type":"array","minItems":0,"maxItems":32,"items":{"type":"object","properties":{"name":{"type":"string","minLength":1,"maxLength":256,"required":true},"tracks":{"type":"array","minItems":1,"maxItems":8,"required":true,"items":{"type":"string","minLength":1,"maxLength":256}},"startFrame":{"type":"integer","minimum":0,"maximum":599,"required":true},"frameCount":{"type":"integer","minimum":1,"maximum":600,"required":true},"minimumActiveTracks":{"type":"integer","minimum":1,"maximum":8,"default":1}}}} []
